I’m impressed with his increasing understanding of what we say – obviously there isn’t much yet – but saying ‘No’ or ‘Let go’ has an effect, so too does ‘clap, clap’ and ‘Hands on Head’.

My only current worry is that when he really does mean to say ‘Dad’ or ‘Mum’ we’ll ignore it, thinking he’s continuing his normal nattering!
